Casualty Liaison Team returns to Puerto Rico

379th Chemical Company trains at Army Warfighting Assessment Exercise

More than 145 Soldiers of the 379th Chemical Company (CM CO) out of Arlington, Ill. participated in the Army Warfighting Assessment Exercise held at Fort Bliss, Texas, Oct. 17-30, 2016.
U.S. Army Reserve Command Deputy Commanding General (Operations), Maj. Gen. David Conboy, and 76th Division Operational Response Commanding General, Maj. Gen. Ricky Waddell, were among the 21 distinguished visitors in attendance during the exercise.

Continue strong in the Army Reserve Ambassador program

Nearly two-dozen Army Reserve ambassadors join Maj. Gen. Margaret W. Boor, commanding general of the Army Reserve’s 99th Regional Support Command, center, and Maj. Gen. Michael R. Smith, deputy chief of Army Reserve, not pictured, during the annual Army Reserve Ambassador Training Workshop June 5-6 at 99th RSC headquarters on Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey. The workshop increased the ambassadors’ ability to carry out their mission of educating the public, community leaders and congressional staff offices about the capabilities and value of the Army Reserve and its Soldiers.

Triple Threat: Female Army Reserve Soldier is a true American

Staff Sgt. Crystal Baetz, a U.S. Army Reserve military police Soldier with the 603rd Military Police Company in Belton, Missouri, poses for a photo before beginning a firefighter training simulation at the Highland Park Fire Department in Highland Park, Michigan, Oct. 13. The exercise is designed to train firefighters to find other firefighters who have become immobile and carry them to safety. During the training, Baetz had to wear her usual 80-pound load of gear, carry a full sized fire hose, wear a gas mask and find her partner while wearing a blindfold in order to simulate a building densely filled with smoke and carbon dioxide. Second Lietenant Sam Kendricks, a Transportation Basic Officer Leaders Course student at the Army Logistics University, won a bronze medal in the pole vault event during 2016 summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
