Tough Mudder Gives Purpose

(October 10, 2016) – Nate Boyer, a former Army Special Forces Soldier and current NFL player, participated in the Southern California Tough Mudder with several veteran friends on Oct. 8.  The Army Reserve is a sponsor for the Southern California Tough Mudder, where participants run a basic-training like course over ten miles long with 22 different team obstacles. SoCal Tough Mudder Develops Mental Grit

Staff Sgt. Clifford Fraipont, a heavy equipment operator from the 947th Engineer Company, Colorado National Guard, runs his 26th Tough Mudder to train for the World's Toughest Mudder. The Army Reserve is a sponsor for the 2016 Southern California Tough Mudder, which is an event that has 22 basic training-like obstacle courses stretching over ten miles.

FORT MCCOY, Wis. – U.S. Army Reserve Soldiers, with the 705th Transportation Company, 643rd Regional Support Group, 310th Sustainment Command (Expeditionary) from Dayton, Ohio, and the 652nd Multi-Role Bridge Company (MRBC), 397th Engineer Battalion, 372nd Engineer Brigade, 416th Theater Engineer Command, from Hammond, Wis., work together to conduct rafting operations while participating in Combat Support Training Exercise (CSTX) 86-15-03, at Lake Petenwell outside of Fort McCoy, Wis., August 19, 2016. Nearly 9,000 service members from across the country participated in CSTX 86-16-03 hosted by the 86th Training Division.
