A Roundtable Discussion to Build Ready and Resilient Families

311th ESC Brigades conduct Joint Operations
November 29, 2016
Soldiers from the 650th Regional Support Group went to the firing range at the Fort Irwin National Training Center November 17-20, while they conducted a joint Field Training Exercise with the 304th Sustainment Brigade, during a MUTA 8 four-day battle assembly, where collective training events as well as individual readiness focused on medical readiness and firearms qualification.

76th Division (OR) celebrates German Day of Remembrance

While most people celebrate Veteran’s Day weekend with families and friends, more than a hundred people came to Fort Douglas Military Cemetery November 13 to honor the 41 German prisoners of war (POW) who are buried here from both World Wars I and II.  
At the end of the Fort Douglas ceremony, the official party laid a ceremonial wreath at the foot of the monument that honors the fallen German Soldiers and Sailors.  This monument is a mass grave where 21 of the 41 German POWs are buried, located at the southwest corner of the Fort Douglas Cemetery.
