The 481st TC conducts MOB ceremony at Port Hueneme

Chief Warrant Officer 2 Karl Irvin, Detachment 5 commander and chief engineer, Chief Warrant Officer 4 Michael Crawford, chief engineer, Command Sgt. Maj. Donald Seay, 483rd Terminal Battalion command sergeant major, Warrant Officer 1 Dallas Hill, Detachment 2 commander and vessel master, and Lt. Col. Thomas J. Harzewski, 483rd Terminal Battalion commander, attended the 481st Transportation Company (Heavy Boat) mobilization ceremony at Pacific Park on the Naval Base Ventura County at Port Hueneme October 22.

Army Reserve Engineers participate in Early Head Start Inauguration

Mr. Carlos Lopez Rivera, Dorado city Mayor presents a plaque of appreciation to the 448th Engineer Battalion for their hard work and dedication. The US Army Reserve Soldiers assisted the community by renovation an old elementary school into a center for the Early Head Start Program. The inauguration of the 'Tesoro Infantil' took place on October, 26.

Social worker enhances Army Reserve readiness through compassionate care

Patricia Moloney, a contract employee with National Sourcing Inc. (NSI) who serves as the director of psychological health for the Army Reserve’s 99th Regional Support Command, assists service members from all branches and components with consultations, referrals, screenings and education on issues such as suicide prevention, substance abuse, domestic violence, financial distress, unemployment, homelessness, crises and anger management, deployment anxiety, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, and casualty assistance.

Army doctor’s speech on sleep will keep you awake

Army Lt. Col. Robert V. Parish, commander of the 254th Medical Detachment and a clinical neuropsychiatrist gave a “train the trainer” lesson in the science of sleep to Army Reserve medical professionals of the Medical Support Unit of the 7th Mission Support Command in a briefing conducted at Daenner Kaserne on Oct. 22, 2016.

387th Human Resouces Detachment Departure

Colonel Paul Hettich, the rear commander of the 451st Expeditionary Sustainment Command, visited the 387th Human Resources detachment and recognized 1st Lieutenant LaShontonna Sipho, platoon leader of the detachment, and Sergeant First Class Telia Phoenix, platoon sergeant of the detachment, for their hard work. “You both have done a great job preparing Soldiers and I know this will be a successful deployment,” said Col. Hettich as he coined both women. This is the first deployment for Sipho and Phoenix who, combined, are the command team for the small postal detachment.
