Army Reserve command receives third straight energy award

Christine Ploschke, former Energy Branch manager for the Army Reserve’s 99th Regional Support Command (second from left), receives a 2016 Federal Energy and Water Management Award from the Department of Energy during a ceremony Dec. 7 in Washington, D.C. This is the third national energy and water management award the 99th RSC has won in as many years as it continues to support readiness by providing the best possible facilities in which Soldiers can work and train. This latest recognition follows a DoE Federal Energy and Water Management Award Ploschke and her team earned for accomplishments in fiscal year 2015, as well as the Army “Small Group” Energy and Water Management Award they received for FY14.

Transportation: First-In, Last-Out at Operation Toy Drop

Joseph Vaughan a transportation management coordinator (88N), assigned to the 970th Transportation Detachment (Movement Control Team), calls in personnel and equipment numbers to the tactical operations center before movement can take place December 14 at Fort Bragg, N.C. at the 2016 Operation Toy Drop XIX. An 88N coordinates, monitors, controls and supervises the movement of personnel, equipment, and cargo by air, rail, highway and water. Determines the most efficient mode of transport that accomplishes mission requirements.
