John, who is originally from the Bronx, New York, but resides now in Guanica, Puerto Rico, is assigned to A Co. based out of Yauco, Puerto Rico, and is part of the soldiers from the Army Reserve in Puerto Rico who are currently providing support to the local community by purifying water, clearing roads, delivering fuel to hospitals and other very important tasks around the island.
