On October 9th, Soldiers of the 613th MP Company and 35th Signal Battalion helped a local community member by restoring her residence after it had been burglarized while she was in the hospital recovering from surgery.

7th MSC hosts town hall with USAR CXO

KAISERSLAUTERN, Germany —Mr. James Balocki, the command executive officer for the U.S. Army Reserve, speaks with Soldiers and civilians from the 7th Mission Support Command during a town hall Oct. 22, 2015 on Daenner Kaserne.

He visited with civilian and military leaders during his week-long trip, including the Army Reserve Engagement Cell at U.S. Army Europe, the USAREUR G8, the 21st Theater Sustainment Command Deputy Chief of Staff, Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, Installation Management Command-Europe and USAG Rheinland Pfalz. He also was interviewed by Stars and Stripes as well as the American Forces Network.

88th RSC prepares for the unexpected

The 88th Regional Support Command’s Crisis Action Team members conduct a Continuity of Operations Plan Exercise on Fort McCoy, Wis., Oct.14. Charles Hudson (center right), 88th RSC chief of staff, led CAT members through a series of scenarios ranging from minor events resulting in a few hours of disturbance in operations to catastrophic events that required permanent relocation of headquarters operations. “The COOP’s priority of effort is to ensure mission essential functions are met,” Hudson said, “and then to ensure minimum degradation of customer support to commands within the 88th RSC geographic area of responsibility.”

California Army Reserve Civil Affairs Command changes senior enlisted Soldier

Thomsen took the helm as the senior enlisted Soldier from Command Sgt. Maj. Mark Martello. The 351st CACOM has more than 2,100 Soldiers in eight states, to include Hawaii. The 351st CACOM is assigned to the U.S. Army Civil Affairs and Psychological Operations Command (Airborne) based at Fort Bragg, N.C. USACAPOC (A) has more than 13,000 Soldiers with Civil Affairs, Psychological Operations and Information Operations units across the country. USACAPOC(A) has 94 percent of the Army’s General Purpose Forces’ CA Capability, 100 percent of the Army’s General Purpose Forces’ PSYOP Capability and 42 percent of the Army’s General Purpose Forces’ I/O Capability. The command also has oversight of all Army Reserve airborne operations.

Army Reserve command boosts medical readiness throughout 13-state region

Spc. Aleksandr Piovesan of the Army Reserve’s 2nd Battalion, 228th Aviation Regiment receives a mandatory influenza vaccination during the mass medical-readiness event hosted Oct. 17-18 by the Army Reserve’s 99th Regional Support Command at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, N.J., in an effort to increase Soldier readiness throughout the northeastern United States. More than 750 Army Reserve Soldiers from throughout the 99th RSC’s 13-state area of support received mandatory influenza vaccinations and other medical services.
