Kok, commanding general of the U.S. Army Reserve’s 99th Regional Support Command (left), and Larance Kirby, executive director for the Delaware Commission of Veterans Affairs (right), recognize Raelyn Blevins, high-school student and future member of the Delaware Air National Guard, during the sixth-annual Our Community Salutes recognition ceremony May 16 at the Cavaliers County Club in Newark, Delaware. Kok and Kirby joined Wilmington University and the Delaware Chapter, Association of the United States Army in honoring more than 100 high-school students who have volunteered to enlist in all branches of the U.S. military following graduation.

Kok, commanding general of the U.S. Army Reserve’s 99th Regional Support Command, presents framed artwork from World War II to Claude Hodges, a 99th Infantry Division veteran who served during the Battle of the Bulge and is currently a resident at the Virginia Veterans Care Center in Roanoke, Virginia. Kok visited Hodges and other veterans at the center April 28.

Maj. Gen. Troy D. Kok, commanding general of the U.S. Army Reserve’s 99th Regional Support Command (right), and Command Sgt. Maj. Al Almeida, 99th RSC command sergeant major, affix the Army Superior Unit Award streamer to the 99th RSC Colors during a ceremony April 21 at the command’s headquarters on Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey. The 99th RSC received the award for providing aid and assistance from October 2012 to April 2013 to communities in New York City that were devastated by Superstorm Sandy.

The U.S. Army Reserve marked another milestone in helping its Soldiers remain a trained and ready part of the Total Force by breaking ground March 18 on a new Army Reserve Center at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey. Kok, commanding general of the U.S. Army Reserve’s 99th Regional Support Command; U.S. Representative Tom MacArthur, representing New Jersey’s 3rd Congressional District; Mr. Robert J.
