FORT McCOY, Wis. –
Army Reserve Soldiers were among the students participating in the Cold-Weather Operations Course at Fort McCoy, Wisconsin, in January. Designed to provide units with a subject-matter expert in cold-weather operations, the course focuses on correct wear and usage of equipment, first aid, patrol base operations, and other courses related to survival in an environment with extremely cold weather. The CWOC is modeled after the Cold-Weather Leader Course taught by the Army Northern Warfare Training Center at Black Rapids, Alaska.
