New Jersey school named for Tuskegee Airman on Veterans Day
Educators, students, elected officials and military personnel celebrate during the Nov. 11 ceremony to rename the Park Middle School in Scotch Plains, New Jersey, for Tuskegee Airman Malcolm E. Nettingham, who served with the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II and died in 2020 just weeks short of his 102nd birthday. In 2007, he was awarded the Congressional Gold Medal for his military service. (U.S. Army photo by Sgt. 1st Class Deziree Lau, 99th Readiness Division Public Affairs)
