WW I move of 77th Division of New York draftees, was not so secret in April 1918
This stereopticon photo from 1919 shows Camp Upton, N.Y., the Long Island training camp where the 77th Divison trained before deploying to France in March and April 1918. The 77th Division was made up of draftees from New York City and was initially known as the "Metropolitan Division" (Photo from the Library of Conigress.)
