Soldier, civilians and their families gather outside of Marshall Hall at Fort Bragg, N.C., to participate in the National Day of Prayer 2017. Soldiers and civilians set aside time to reflect and pray for our country during this event. With an emphasis on both spiritual and physical fitness, they ran for approximately forty-five minutes, using this time to reflect and pray. The National Day of Prayer is recognized around the nation on the first Thursday of May every year. It is a time for people around the nation to gather and set aside a time of prayer for the country and its leaders.
