Major Harold Aprill, the executive officer for the 3rd Battalion, 399th Regiment, shows Becca Osmak of St. Francis, Wis. how to properly control the water pressure from a fire hose during the 2016 Armed Forces Day celebration at the Milwaukee Harley-Davidson Museum, May 21, 2016. Aprill, who is also a member of the Milwaukee Armed Services Committee, helped organize the event which capped off an entire week of activities for Milwaukee's Armed Forces Week. Aprill and reservists from the 3/399th, as well as volunteers from the other branches, helped raise military awareness by displaying military vehicles and explaining to civilians their current role in supporting ongoing military efforts around the world. Service members past and present mingled with the crowd throughout the day, a highlight of which was the 13th annual Support the Troops Ride which featured over 300 motorcycle riders.
