If you wish to apply to become a Warrant Officer or Officer in the Army Reserve, you must contact the Army Reserve Careers Group to ensure you meet all qualifications, obtain packet checklists and submission dates. Interested applicants should email usarmy.usarc.arcg.mbx.hq-ops-spcmsn-organizational-mailbox@army.mil and ARCG will assign a local Officer Accessions NCO. Email should include applicants rank, name, email, phone, desired program (WO, OCS, REAP, IST), and state of unit of assignment if currently serving.

Warrant Officer Accessions
Minimum age is 18. Maximum age cannot reach 46th birthday at the time of scheduled board. Applicants that reach their 46th birthday or older on the day the USAREC Warrant Officer Board convenes must request an age waiver to apply.
All applicants must be a US citizen (no waivers).
Education requirements are based on specific MOS requirements. While a college degree is not required for the majority, college Algebra and English classes may be required.
Medical requirements are prescribed in DODI 6130.03, Medical Standards for Appointment, and must meet the retention height/weight standards of AR 600-9.
All applicants will submit a complete commissioning physical. Applicants who receive a not qualified physical must request a medical waiver; the USAREC Surgeon’s Office will determine qualification.
Must have a GT score of 110 or higher (no waivers).
Applicant from another branch of the Armed Forces must submit evidence of attainment of a qualifying GT score 110 or higher. Verification of score can obtained on Recruiter Eligibility Data Display (REDD).
Applicant will be of good moral character. Moral waivers will be submitted with the application and processed by DA G-1 upon receipt of application. Court documentation will be submitted with waiver request.
Applicant will have as a minimum, an adjudicated secret security clearance at time of application submission.
Applicants must have a minimum of 12 months remaining on their contract at the time the USAREC Warrant Officer board convenes.
All waivers will be processed through ARCG to the appropriate agency.
Commissioned Officer Accessions (Officer Candidate School)
Minimum age is 18. Maximum age cannot reach 40th birthday at the time of scheduled board. Applicants that reach their 40th birthday or older on the day the HQDA OCS Selection Panel meets must request an age waiver to apply.
Applicant will have as a minimum, an interim secret security clearance at time of application submission.
Applicant must have a Baccalaureate Degree or higher (no waivers).
Applicant will be of good moral character. Moral waivers will be submitted with the application and processed by HRC-Fort Knox, KY upon receipt of application. Court documentation will be submitted with waiver request.
Applicants will possess traits as potential leaders and have the ability to deal effectively with people. Such traits will be evaluated in terms of applicant's NCOERs, letters of recommendation, background and experience.
All applicants will submit a complete commissioning physical. The HRC Surgeon’s Office will request a medical waiver for any not qualified physicals after the application has been submitted and reviewed.
All waivers will be submitted with the completed application.
Reappointment
Applicants must not have reached the birthday of maximum age indicated in AR 135-100, Table 1-1 prior to appointment (waivers authorized).
Education requirements for Warrant Officers are based on specific warrant officer proponent requirements. Officers require bachelor’s degree or higher.
Medical requirements are prescribed in DODI 6130.03, Medical Standards for Appointment. Applicants must meet the retention height/weight standards of AR 600-9. All applicants will be required to complete a Military Entrances Processing Station (MEPS) commission physical. Applicants who receive a not qualified physical must request a medical waiver.
Applicants from other Armed Forces must submit evidence of attainment of a qualifying GT score of 110 or higher.
Must be able to obtain the appropriate level security clearance as required by their AOC or WMOS.

Those eligible for Officer Accession Bonuses (OAB): After completion of BOLC or WOBC, you must submit the documents listed on the OAB Checklist through your unit, to the pay team to initiate payment. The OAB packets should be sent to the USAR Pay Center at usarmy.usarc.usarc-hq.mbx.rcpsotmbonusscan@army.mil.
The OAB Written Agreement must be completed at the time of your application. To obtain a copy of your OAB Written Agreement, you can look in iPerms. If it is not in iPerms you can reach out to your Officer Accession NCO, who can provide a copy of the written agreement and DA 61.
