Christian Witty, assigned to 455 Chemical Brigade, 76 Operational Response Command, runs in the 12-mile ruck march during the third day of the “Best Warrior Competition” (BWC) on February 10, 2023, at Fort Hunter Liggett, Calif. At the 12-mile ruck march, soldiers are timed and graded on their performance. The successful completion of the 12-mile ruck march is an important milestone in a soldier's training and a critical indicator of their physical readiness for combat.
