Command Sergeant Major Arlindo Almeida, a native of Portugal, enlisted into the U.S. Army in 1978. During his years of service, CSM Almeida has served in a variety of professionally rewarding and developmental positions across the Army in the operating and generating force. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice and a Master’s Degree in Homeland Security.
His previous assignments include serving as the Division Command Sergeant Major of the 94th Division (FS) at Fort Lee, VA; Command Sergeant Major at the Warrior Transition Unit on Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA; Brigade Command Sergeant Major of the 330th Medical Brigade at Fort Sheridan, IL; Brigade Command Sergeant Major of the 358th Civil Affairs Brigade at Norristown, PA/Riverside, CA; Battalion Command Sergeant Major of the 411th Civil Affairs Battalion at Danbury, CT; and Brigade Command Sergeant of the 1179th Deployment Support Brigade at Fort Hamilton, NY. Significant deployments and mobilizations include two rotations to Baghdad, Iraq.
