Brig. Gen. Karen Monday-Gresham is currently the Deputy Commanding General- Sustainment of the 63rd Readiness Division located in Mountain View, California.

Brig. Gen. Monday-Gresham was commissioned in the Adjutant General’s Corps as a Second Lieutenant from Army ROTC and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Appalachian State University. BG Monday-Gresham has a M.A. in Human Resource Management from Webster University, and a M.S. in Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College. She most recently served as the Chief of Staff for the 310th Expeditionary Sustainment Command, Indianapolis, Indiana and the 1st Theater Sustainment Command – Operational Command Post, headquartered at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait.

Brig. Gen. Monday-Gresham is a graduate of the Adjutant General’s Officer Basic Course, Public Affairs Officer Course, Quartermaster and Transportation Officer Advanced Courses, Combined Arms and Services Staff School, the Army Command and General Staff College, and the Army War College. Her other recent assignments include Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff, 451st Expeditionary Sustainment Command, Wichita, KS; Chief of Staff and Assistant Chief of Staff G1, 200th Military Police Command, Fort Meade, MD; Commander 4th Brigade (Personnel Services), 94th Training Division (Force Sustainment), Decatur, GA; Assistant Chief of Staff, G1, 108th Training Command, Charlotte, NC; and Commander 2nd Battalion 321st Regiment (Basic Combat Training), 98th Training Division (Initial Entry Training), Miami, FL. Brig. Gen. Monday-Gresham also served as the Senior Human Resources Officer, J1 Directorate, U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), MacDill Air Force Base, FL; Public Affairs Officer, Military District of Washington, Joint Force Headquarters, Washington D.C.; Public Affairs Officer, Special Operations CommandCentral Command (SOCCENT), MacDill Air Force Base, FL; Assistant S1, 1186th Transportation Terminal Brigade, Jacksonville, FL; Public Affairs Officer, North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Headquarters, Sarajevo, Bosnia & Herzegovina; Mobile Public Affairs Detachment (MPAD) Officer, Saint Augustine, FL; and Strength Management Officer for the 53rd Infantry Brigade, Tampa, FL.

Her awards and decorations include the Legion of Merit, Defense Meritorious Service Medal with 2 Bronze Oak Leaf Clusters, Meritorious Service Medal with Bronze Oak Leaf Clusters, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Joint Service Achievement Medal with 1 Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster, and numerous others. She is also the recipient of the Adjutant General’s Corps Regimental Association Order of Horatio Gates Bronze Medal. In her civilian career, Brig. Gen. Monday-Gresham is a Senior Tax Advisor for H&R Block, she also held several Department of Defense General Schedule positions in Florida and Virginia. She resides in Jacksonville, FL with her husband, SGM (Ret) Chris Gresham.
