VIRTUAL BASIC LEADER COURSE INFORMATION: The Virtual Basic Leader Course will be a 23-day (169-hours) course that follows a daily training schedule (not self-paced) from your duty location as specified on your orders. To successfully complete all graduation requirements, the following equipment is required: computer, access to reliable internet, audio (headset) and visual capability, CAC with a valid pin and CAC reader, Adobe Acrobat, Google Drive, Microsoft Teams and access to military email.
ENTERPRISE EMAIL: Unit ATRRS Operators must ensure that the Students enterprise email is correct in ATRRS. NO CIVILIAN email addresses are acceptable. Failure to do so will result in the student NOT receiving the welcome letter and support information.
WELCOME LETTER: The BLC Course Manager sends out the welcome letter with all applicable course information to all students in ATRRS 30-days prior to the start of each course.
BLACKBOARD SELF-ENROLLMENT: You will be provided blackboard enrollment instructions that includes a step-by-step on how to enroll in your blackboard classroom. We recommend the Firefox or internet explorer web browsers to best support Blackboard functionality. Firefox and internet explorer are both authorized on military computers. You are required to self-enroll into blackboard by the specific date provided in your welcome letter. Once you log in, you will find the class located under "My Courses" on the right side of the Blackboard homepage. Please familiarize yourself with the site early in the course. Review the announcements and all menu items on the left margin.
IN-PROCESSING: Required documents are to be uploaded into the corresponding section via blackboard by the specific date provided in the welcome letter. These documents include:
a.23-Day Orders (must be approved)
b.DA Forms 705 (Passing, within 14 months of report date)
c.DA 5500 / 5501 (If required, Passing within 14 months of report date)
d.SSD 1 or DLC 1 Certificate of Completion
