Exercise Anakonda 2016 - Partners for Security

Petroleum supply specialists with the U.S. Army Reserve's 716th Quartermaster Company, Jersey City, N.J., fill a 5,000-gallon tanker truck at the bulk fuel farm during Exercise Anakonda 2016 at the Drawsko Pomorskie Training Area, Poland, June 4, 2016. Exercise Anakonda 2016 is a Polish-led, joint multinational exercise taking place throughout Poland June 7-17. The 716th is the first U.S. Army Reserve unit to operate a fuel farm in Poland. The exercise involves more than 25,000 participants from more than 20 nations. 98 Army Reserve resident Officers graduating from the Command General Staff Officers College

On 10 June, the Army Reserve will have the largest representation of Army Reserve resident Officers graduating from the Command General Staff Officers College (CGSOC) on record. Ninety-eight Army Reserve students will walk the stage and then proceed to their next duty assignment to continue with outstanding contribution to the Army Reserve & total Army.

Terminally ill Navy veteran receives final wish

Retired Navy veteran Merle House, gives a celebratory salute following a surprise ceremony made possible by the Dream Foundation, an organization that grants wishes for terminally ill patients, June 1, at a Veterans Affairs sponsored foster care facility in San Jose, Calif.

House is in the final stages of Parkinson’s disease and had made a request to the Dream Foundation to be reunited one last time with a close female friend in Palos Verdes, Calif., which was granted by the foundation. The presentation of the ‘wish basket’, which contained the travel arrangements for his upcoming trip, was facilitated by the Santa Clara VA.

The U.S. Army Reserve bid farewell to its seventh commanding general, Lt. Gen. Jeffrey W. Talley, during a relinquishment of command ceremony held outside Marshall Hall at Fort Bragg, N.C. on Jun. 1. Talley and his wife Linda leave USARC after successfully leading it since June of 2012.
