1st MSC Soldiers attend ACE-SI and ASIST training
February 26, 2016 — Ask, Care, and Escort –Suicide Intervention (ACE-SI) and Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) are widely used suicide prevention courses that walk you through the prevention process. Packed with vital information, ACE and ASIST courses are definitely an asset, not only for military personnel but for civilians as well. Don Clayton, Vietnam veteran and ride captain with the Patriot Guard Riders, visits the 14th Quartermaster Detachment memorial in Greensburg, Pa., prior to the memorial ceremony held Feb. 25 at the Greensburg Army Reserve Center. The event commemorated the 25th anniversary of the single-most devastating attack on U.S. forces during the Persian Gulf War, when 13 of the detachment’s Soldiers were killed and another 43 were wounded by an Iraqi Scud missile attack.

95th Training Division (IET) Iraqi Freedom veteran receives Purple Heart
February 25, 2016 — In a long-awaited presentation, Feb. 7, 2016, the Army awarded the Purple Heart Medal to an Iraqi Freedom veteran for a concussion and traumatic brain injury sustained 10 years earlier. Sgt. 1st Class Joshua Clark, a native of Elkhart, Indiana, then a sergeant, was assigned to first Platoon, Charlie Company, 1st Battalion, 187th Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division in Fort Campbell, Kentucky and deployed to Iraq in 2006...
