Nominations for the 6th annual Our Military Kids Courageous Kids Contest open Feb. 9 and close March 8.

Family, friends, coaches, teachers, and other community members may nominate a child or teen (age 1-18) who has demonstrated leadership or role-model qualities in their communities, activities, and/or within their families in past year, while also having a parent who:

  • Deployed with the National Guard or Reserve in 2025, OR
  • Received care for a post-9/11, combat-related injury, illness, or wound in 2025.

Winners will be announced throughout April, which is the Month of the Military Child, and will receive a $300 stipend, prizes from GOVX, an award certificate, and national recognition.
