Army Reserve command supplies ready medical equipment to all military branches

Maj. Gen. Margaret W. Boor, commanding general of the U.S. Army Reserve's 99th Regional Support Command, visits the command's Equipment Concentration Site 99 April 7 at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey. ECS 99 is a 75,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art medical storage and maintenance site that provides a secure, climate-controlled environment in which to store medical, dental, optical and veterinary equipment, and maintain and repair bio-medical equipment, x-ray machines, ventilators and defibrillators in order to support the Innovative Readiness Training program, which provides necessary training to medical and dental personnel across all branches of military service while providing much-needed medical and dental care to underserviced areas in the United States.

Former Army Reserve Soldiers Michael O’Toole, Russell Barnes and Russell Dearing, from left, review the Greensburg Army Reserve Center’s artifacts related to the Feb. 21, 1991 Scud missile attack against Dhahran, Saudi Arabia that killed 13 and wounded 43 Soldiers of the Army Reserve’s 14th Quartermaster Detachment. The trio carried out medevac and other life-saving missions in the immediate aftermath of that single-most devastating attack against allied forces during the Gulf War.

The weekend event hosted by the 7th MSC Command Chaplain´s Office, stressed communication, time-management and spiritual development for Soldiers and their families.
