Two of 88th Readiness Division’s former top engineers honored by Army Engineer Association
July 28, 2023 — The Army Engineer Association recently recognized two of their finest. Retired Col. James Lewis and Lt. Col. Marc Jeter were awarded the Silver Order of the de Fleury medal, an award given to the best of the best within the Army’s Corps of Engineers, for their contributions to the field of engineering within the U.S. Army. The ceremony was fairly intimate, held during this year’s Army Reserve Mission Resilience and Sustainability, or ARMRS training at Fort Snelling Minnesota. Military band tradition continues for family
February 1, 2023 — “I’ve wanted to do this for so long,” said 17-year-old Spc. Moriah Miller, a newly enlisted musician with the 204th Army Band at Ft. Snelling, Minn. July 21, 2022 — When Ward Zischke assumed duties as the 88th Readiness Division historian in 2009, the unit's headquarters was moving from Fort Snelling, Minnesota, to Building 60 at Fort McCoy. This relocation meant Zischke had to move items from the Blue Devil Museum at Fort Snelling to a smaller area in Buildings 60 and 1101 on Fort McCoy.
