650th RSG Soldiers participate in culinary training

Staff Sgt. Markos Mendoza, 257th Transportation Company, 650th Regional Support Group, supervises Soldiers who participated in a Joint Culinary Training Program exercise at the George W. Dunaway Army Reserve Center in Sloan, Nev., Nov. 15. Sponsored by the Joint Culinary Center of Excellence, this training is designed to be a module for identifying those personnel who will compete at the annual U.S. Army Culinary Arts Competition held at Fort Lee, Va.

Savior of two children from burning vehicle awarded Soldier's Medal

gt. James B. Bennett was presented the Soldier’s Medal for exceptional heroism during an awards ceremony at the El Monte, Calif., U.S. Army Reserve Center, Saturday, Sept. 8. The Soldier’s Medal was awarded to Bennett for his actions in Fresno Jan. 28, when he and his father, James D. Bennett, saved the lives of two children by pulling them from a burning car.
