New York, N.Y. – Maj. Gen. Kris A. Belanger, commander of the 99th Readiness Division (left), and Ronald “Ron” Shindel, a Civilian Aide to the Secretary of the Army (NY South), present a U.S. Army Minuteman Scholarship to Zachary Seepersaud, during a 249th U.S. Army Birthday event here on June 14, 2024. The event was hosted by the U.S. Army New York City Recruiting Battalion to celebrate the contributions of Soldiers who’ve served the nation and strengthen relationships with community partners.

After an extensive and honorable military career, he now continues his commitment as an Army Reserve Ambassador (ARA) for Indiana. In this role, he works to advocate for Army Reserve Soldiers, veterans, and their families in his community.

U.S. Army Reserve Cadet Summer Training instructors Sgt. Cecilio Myers (left), a native of Dade City, Florida and Staff Sgt. Chris Esguerra (right), a native of Port Orchard, Washington, teach the fundamentals of properly dawning the M50 protective gas-mask and the Joint Service Lightweight Integrated Suit Technology at Fort Knox, Kentucky, July 12. Cecilio and Myers are Cadet Summer Training instructors assigned to Task Force Wolf, 3rd Battalion, 414th Regiment, 104th Division who are spending 22 days of their U.S. Army Reserve annual training familiarizing Reserve Officer Training Corps cadets with the Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear threats of the modern battlefield.
