Members of the San Antonio Fire Department presented the colors prior to the 9/11 Heroes Run in honor of the 15th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks at the Texas A&M University-San Antonio, Texas. Texas A&M University-San Antonio was nominated to receive a sapling from the 9/11 Survivor Tree, which was the sole surviving tree that remained after the destruction of the World Trade Center buildings.
