Bitch, France. The 100th Training Division (OS) was originally activated as the 100th Infantry Division during WWII. This iconic photograph was taken after the town of Bitche, France, fell to the 100th Infantry Division, on March 16, 1945. The 100th Infantry Division, during its months of combat in Northeastern France and Western Germany, liberated or captured over 400 towns. One of these towns was Bitche, and ever since that time they have been known as the “Sons of Bitche.” (Photo and excerpt from archives maintained at the George C. Marshall Foundation)

Sept. 19, 2015, Vine Grove, Ky. The 100th Training Division's Commanding General, Brigadier General Jason Walrath, takes a look at a WWII era weapon, owned by one of the local WWII reenactors. Members of the 100th Training Division gathered together for the Autumn Days celebration, in Vine Grove, Ky in late 2015. Soldiers passed out candy to parade-goers, as well as socialized with the local community. WWII era 100th Division reenactors foot marched along side WWII era vehicles, also operated by 100th Division members, signifying the 100th Training Division's rich history and connection to WWII. Overall it was a great event and a great opportunity to bring civilians and Soldiers together! Train em' Tough! (Army photo by: 1LT Alicia Carver, 100th TD)
