The 9th Mission Support Command held its 1st Saipan Military Ball this July at the Kensington Hotel in San Roque, Saipan.
The 9th Mission Support Command (9th MSC) pioneered a Rapid Home Station Mobilization (RHSM) model in the Pacific utilizing its micro-garrison concept from June 1 to 5. This mobilization was carried out as part of the Pacific Response exercise (PACRES) in Fort Shafter Flats in Honolulu, Hawaii to ensure the Soldiers in the Pacific are able to mobilize immediately in crisis, competition and conflict. 9th MSC Army Reserve Soldiers stationed in Guam, as well as the Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas Islands (CNMI), also participated alongside those stationed on Oahu.
The 9th Mission Support Command is the most geographically dispersed, ethnically diverse command in the Army Reserve. The 9th MSC is the Army Reserve of the Pacific.

U.S. Army Reserve Soldiers from the 368th MP Brigade conduct area security during their annual training in support of the INDOPACOM Exercise Valiant Shield at Anderson Airforce Base, Guam June 10. Valiant Shield ensures the Joint Force maintains the advantage against long-term competitors seeking to undermine the rules-based international order and the free and open Indo-Pacific that bolsters Indo-Pacific Security upon which global prosperity rests.
The 411th Engineering Battalion conducted training for Soldiers, at Schofield Barracks on June 2 through June 5. The unit, which falls under the 9th Mission Support Command, training and field exercises were part of a scheduled battle assembly for the Army Reserve unit.
To improve overall unit readiness by increasing the number of crew-served weapons qualified personnel, 322nd Civil Affairs Brigade Soldiers participated Operation Pacific Steel, a consolidated crew-served weapons qualification course at Fort Shafter Flats and Schofield Barracks Jan. 31 through Feb 5. The annual operation focuses on subject matter expert training and ground crew-served weapons qualifications for 9th Mission Support Command direct reporting units.

The purpose of the week-long training exercise was to increase weapon’s familiarity, improve platoon and squad proficiency and set the conditions for a successful battalion-wide collective training exercise during the battalion’s upcoming annual training this summer. Inouye into Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam. Six canoes paddled alongside the “Go For Broke” destroyer for her last mile into Merry Point Mooring. As she docked, all paddlers saluted the Sailors lined along the deck by raising their paddles to say, “Job well done and welcome home.”

9th Mission Support Command hosts Hawaii interns in support of U.S. Army Pacific internship initiative
The 9th Mission Support Command successfully showcased the impressive work of eight interns from the University of Hawaii (UH) at Manoa and Chaminade University, as they worked on separate projects to solve real-world problems.  It provided students with hands-on experience in intelligence analysis, coding, data science, and innovation. This internship initiative signified successful collaborations between academia, industry, and government, fostering talent and innovation.  The interns presented their final projects to the 9th MSC Commanding General, Brig. Gen. Mark Siekman, at Fort Shafter Flats on December 5 and 6, followed by a project day showcased at UH on December 7. This program was made possible through collaboration between the 9th MSC’s Marketing Recruiting Retention (MR2) and Talent Management (TM), Hawaii Defense Alliance, Pacific Intelligence Innovation Initiatives (P3I), National Security Innovation Network (NSIN), and UH at Manoa.

3rd Mobilization Support Group visits CNMI and Palau
3rd Mobilization Support Group (MSG) Army Reserve Soldiers, a Direct Reporting Unit (DRU) of the 9th Mission Support Command (MSC), traveled to the Commonwealth of Northern Marianas (CNMI), specifically the islands of Saipan, Tinian, and Rota, and the Republic of Palau, December 4 and 5, to inspect ports and airports and meet with local agencies who play a critical role in the preparation, response, and recovery for their communities during disasters and other contingencies.  The visits with government officials, air and sea port officials, emergency managers, and inspections of ports and airports enhanced 3rd MSG's preparedness for operations in response to natural disasters.
