Maj. Gen. Anthony Funkhouser, the Commanding General of the Center for Initial Military Training congratulates Sgt. Ryan Moldova, a drill seargent with E Co., 1, Battalion, 390th Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade, 98th Training Division, 108th Training Command (IET) after presenting him with the Meritorious Service Medal for winning the Army Reserve Component Drill Seargent of the Year competition. The competition was held at Fort Jackson, S.C. Sep. 6 through Sep. 9 and tested drill seargents from both the active and reserve component of the Army in a variety of Soldier tasks and drills such as the Army Physicall Fitness Test, weapons knowledge and marksmanship as well as a timed 12 mile road march with a basic combat load and weapon.
