CROWS are flying to the Army Reserve

The Common Remotely Operated Weapon Station (CROWS) is mounted on top of a High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle during a fielding to U.S. Army Reserve units at Fort Chaffee, Arkansas, Jan. 23-27, as part of a four-part fielding process intended to field CROWS to more than 25 Army Reserve units this fiscal year. The CROWS is a remote-controlled system compatible with four major crew-serve weapons, and it was developed to keep gunners safe within the vehicle while engaging enemy targets. Two U.S. Army special agents process a crime scene during Capital Shield 2016 at Fort Belvoir, Virginia, Sept. 13. Approximately 15 U.S. Army Reserve criminal investigative special agents trained alongside 25 active duty agents for the first time in a joint training exercise known as Capital Shield, focusing on crime scene processing, evidence management and hostage negotiations, held Sept. 13-15. The reserve Soldiers participating in this year's Capital Shield are agents from the 733rd Military Police Battalion (Criminal Investigation Division), headquartered in Fort Gillem, Georgia, which reports to the 200th Military Police Command. Reserve MPs find new opportunities with The Old Guard

The 289th MP Co., belonging to the 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard), is currently running a partnership pilot program with the U.S. Army Reserve's 200th MP Command, which began in early February, placing Army Reserve Soldiers on active duty orders for three weeks while working at Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall, Fort Lesley J.
