The 457th Civil Affairs Battalion hosted soldiers from Bulgaria, Hungary, Romania, Slovenia and the Republic of North Macedonia at a cultural awareness seminar and Multinational Civil-Military Co-operation Center planning conference April 27-28 at Camp Normandy, Grafenwoehr, Germany. The events were designed to prepare participants for the U.S. Army Europe summer exercises.

Army Reserve Sgt. Mindy Baptist, observer coach/trainer assigned to the 3/335th Training Support Battalion, based out of Fort Sheridan, Illinois, stretches out after morning battalion physical training exercise. Baptist is on her first mobilization in 11 years of service. The 3/335th TSBn, operationally controlled by First Army, recently began a one-year mobilization to train and equip Army Reserve and National Guard units ahead of overseas deployments to remain effective as the most capable, combat ready and lethal Federal Reserve force in the history of the nation.

Blood and hostage takers: U.S. Army Reserve special agents train at Capital Shield for the first time

Two U.S. Army special agents process a crime scene during Capital Shield 2016 at Fort Belvoir, Virginia, Sept. 13. Approximately 15 U.S. Army Reserve criminal investigative special agents trained alongside 25 active duty agents for the first time in a joint training exercise known as Capital Shield, focusing on crime scene processing, evidence management and hostage negotiations, held Sept. 13-15. The reserve Soldiers participating in this year's Capital Shield are agents from the 733rd Military Police Battalion (Criminal Investigation Division), headquartered in Fort Gillem, Georgia, which reports to the 200th Military Police Command. Reserve MPs find new opportunities with The Old Guard

The 289th MP Co., belonging to the 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard), is currently running a partnership pilot program with the U.S. Army Reserve's 200th MP Command, which began in early February, placing Army Reserve Soldiers on active duty orders for three weeks while working at Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall, Fort Lesley J.
