Forensic Exploitation Directorate Showcases Critical Capabilities to 412th TEC Leadership
February 10, 2025 — On January 24, 2025, the Forensic Exploitation Directorate (FXD) of the Army Criminal Investigation Division hosted a capabilities display for 412th Theater Engineer Command (TEC) senior leaders, including Maj. Gen. Matthew Warne and Command Sgt. Maj. Ryan Bodmer. The event showcased FXD’s forensic capabilities, such as DNA analysis, electronic exploitation, and serial number recovery, which support military operations and investigations. The visit highlighted FXD’s role in analyzing the January 28, 2024, Tower 22 drone attack in Jordan, which killed three 412th TEC Soldiers. Within 28 hours, FXD reconstructed and analyzed the drone, aiding in identifying those responsible. Following the FXD visit, 412th TEC leaders attended a memorial at Fort Moore, Georgia, honoring the fallen Soldiers. Maj. Gen. Warne emphasized that FXD’s efforts provide closure to families and enhance Soldier protection. U.S. Army Reserve holds last iteration of 'Guardian Shield'
May 24, 2023 — U.S. Army Support Activity Fort Dix recently hosted the U.S. Army Reserve 200th Military Police Command’s annual exercise, Guardian Shield, at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, N.J. This iteration of Guardian Shield will also be the last, with the first having occurred in 2010 at Charlotte, N.C. Each iteration brings three Criminal Investigation Division Battalions together with one appointed as the executive agent each year. U.S. Army Reserve Criminal Investigation Division Special Agents participate in their annual training ‘Guardian Shield’ during May, 2023, at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, N.J. CID is made up of professional, federal law enforcement officers who investigate felony crimes. CID Special Agents are commonly in suits and plain clothes as they conduct their investigations. Military Police officers are uniformed officers who may perform traffic duties on base, law and order policing, or detainee and detention operations abroad. Annual trainings like GS23 are essential to mission success not only for classroom and weapons qualifications, but also for agents to network and leverage experience from multiple law enforcement backgrounds.
