Soldiers deliver baby during Afghanistan evacuation support in Kuwait

A team of U.S. Army Central medical Soldiers quickly adapted to assist an Afghan evacuee mother with the birth of her healthy baby at a safe haven location's medical facility in Kuwait in August. CTEF team clears lot, delivers military vehicles, firearms to Iraqi security forces

A heavy equipment operator at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait's Lot 54 loads a trailer onto a flatbed for further delivery to Iraqi security forces as part of the Counter ISIS, Train, Equip Fund-I's mission to build military partner capacity. This trailer was the last item out mostly military vehicles, which were in the lot when the Army Reserve Soldiers of the Indianapolis-based 310th Sustainment Command (Expeditionary) who staff the 1st Theater Sustainment Command's operational command post, which included management of the CTEF-I.

Lion Cub Benefits from Army Reserve Veterinarian

Nothing brings a smile to your face like snuggling with a lion cub. “I have a unique background in that I specialize in zoo/exotic medicine. Prior to deciding to become a veterinarian, I was a zoo keeper. All of my veterinary experience prior to and after completing veterinary school was treating and caring for a traditional zoo collection,” said Capt. Christine Bui, a Veterinarian with the Army Reserve.

'Brickyard' mural cements deployment legacy

The completed T-wall for the 310th Sustainment Command (Expeditionary) at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait.  Chief Warrant Officer 2 Paul Viall worked countless hours in extreme heat to paint a mural that will represent the hard work and dedication of the Army Reserve’s Indianapolis-based “Brickyard” Soldiers and their time serving within the U.S. Central Command’s area of responsibility.

Army Reserve Capt. Skyler Danks, deployed to Kuwait with the Indianapolis-based 310th Sustainment Command (Expeditionary), was recognized along with Sgt. 1st Class Ryan M. Belcher in the Army's 2021 Anti-Terrorism Honor Roll. The Army established the Army Antiterrorism Awards Program to recognize excellence and significant achievements in the anti-terrorism field and those who work hard behind the scenes to protect Army civilian and military personnel.
