'Marksmanship Matters' - US Army Reserve wins 2 out of 3 at FORSCOM Marksmanship Competition

Memorial service honors fallen Army Reserve Soldier

The Army Reserve’s 404th Civil Affairs Battalion (Airborne) held a memorial service to honor one of its own Sept. 13 at Sharp Field on Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, N.J. Spc. Carlos Del Castillo, a Soldier with the 404th’s Bravo Company, died Aug. 22 due to injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.

COVER STORY: In 2013, the U.S. Army Reserve recorded 57 suicides, the highest number since 2009. In 2014, the number dropped to 40. In 2015, 40 Soldiers have taken their life – 12 of those occurring in July. Jose Mojica put together a team to examine last year’s suicides to search for trends between 2013 and 2014. Army Reserve, National Guard Soldiers survive Sapper Stakes, turn a challenge into friendship
