Army Reserve stands up medical units to battle COVID-19

JOINT BASE McGUIRE-DIX-LAKEHURST, N.J. - Lt. Gen. Charles D. Luckey, chief of Army Reserve and commanding general, U.S. Army Reserve Command, engages with Soldiers of the U.S. Army Reserve’s Urban Augmentation Medical Task Force units at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey, as the UAMTFs prepare to deploy to locations across the nation in response to the COVID-19 pandemic April 8, 2020. Soldiers from the Army Reserve’s 3rd Medical Command, headquartered in Forest Park, Georgia, and 807th Medical Command, headquartered at Fort Douglas, Utah, were selected to form the new UAMTFs.
