The 377th Theater Sustainment Command is the lead element in the coordination and execution of military joint color guards in the Greater New Orleans area. The video shows a few of the many events the 377 team and fellow service members have executed over the years.

In 2022, the 377th Theater Sustainment Command celebrated its 80th anniversary. The unit was originally activated in July of 1942 at Fort Dix, New Jersey as the Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 12th Port of Embarkation. Since then, the unit has evolved to become the U.S. Army Reserve's largest command and a leader in logistics and sustainment operations. The video is a snapshot of the command's past, more recent operations and where it's going.
Members of the United States Army Special Operations Command demonstration team, the Black Daggers, flew to the Crescent City to open the 2022 New Orleans Air Show at Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base New Orleans March 19-20. The team jumped in the United States and POW flags as well as a custom-made flag in recognition of the 80th anniversary of the 377th Theater Sustainment Command. Fuel tests keep mission functional at Army Reserve exercise Sentinel Justice

Spec. Erroldo Thompson, a U.S. Army Reserve Soldier from the 195th ETO in Tampa, Fl., currently assigned to the 842nd Trans. Bn., “Warhorse,” in Beaumont, Texas, poses holding the 597th Transportation Brigade, ARTRANS, Soldier of the Quarter award he was presented December 16, 2025, at the Army Transportation Museum, at Fort Eustis, Va. Thompson, who is originally from St. Catherine, Jamaica, earned his citizenship through joining the Army and has demonstrated his dedication to truly becoming a “citizen Soldier.”



Not only did Thompson show his fitness skills during the AFT, lifting over 300 pounds and burning up the turf on the sprint-drag-carry event according to witnesses, but he is also academic-minded and dedicated to lifelong education; Thompson is going to school to be a radiology technician- when he isn't busy supporting back-to-back port operations with our 842nd “Warhorse” Bn. as they project the force in support of large scale combat operations across the globe.



Thompson displayed the bearing, trustworthiness and commitment to ongoing development our board of dedicated senior NCOs demanded… we can’t wait to see what he–and all our future leaders will do!

ARTRANS teams up with TRANSCOM, Seaport Task Force for port inspection
The the strategic Port of Gulfport, Miss. A team from the 597th Transportation Brigade, U.S. Army Transportation Command (ARTRANS),  joined with other leaders from ARTRANS, the U.S. Transportation Command (TRANSCOM), the 7th Transportation Brigade (Expeditionary), the 84th Training Command, 78th Training Division and the 377th Theater Sustainment command, to conduct a port survey of the strategic Port of Gulfport, Miss., during the week of September 8, 2025, in support of an upcoming training exercise that will test joint expeditionary capability to establish port dominance quickly and supply warfighters at the point of need.
