Army Reserve MPs, Air Force train as they fight during WAREX

U.S. Army Reserve Soldiers assigned to the 423rd Military Police Company, 333rd Military Police Brigade, 200th Military Police Command, conduct convoy operations on March 19, 2017, at McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, N.J. The military police unit worked with the U.S. Air Force 621st Contingency Response Wing and the U.S. Air Force Reserve 732nd Airlift Squadron to complete a joint airlift mission during Warrior Exercise 78-17-01 which is designed to assess a units’ combat capabilities. Roughly 60 units from the U.S. Army Reserve, U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force, and Canadian Armed Forces are participating in the 84th Training Command’s joint training exercise, WAREX 78-17-01, at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst from March 8 until April 1, 2017; the WAREX is a large-scale collective training event designed to simulate real-world scenarios as America’s Army Reserve continues to build the most capable, combat-ready, and lethal Federal Reserve force in the history of the Nation. A case of mistaken identity: Identical twins run crews at Op Cold Steel 2017

U.S. Army Reserve Staff Sgt. Jeshua Moore (left) and Sgt. Gereld Moore, both with the 327th Engineer Company, 416th Theater Engineer Command, are identical twins running gunnery crews at Operation Cold Steel 2017. Operation Cold Steel is the U.S. Army Reserve's crew-served weapons qualification and validation exercise to ensure that America's Army Reserve units and Soldiers are trained and ready to deploy on short-notice and bring combat-ready and lethal firepower in support of the Army and our joint partners anywhere in the world.

Army Reserve Soldiers assigned to the 363rd Military Police Company served as the oppositional force for Easy Company, 2nd Battalion, 506th Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division during the exercise. 98th NCO Earns Top Honors at Drill Sergeant Academy

Army Reserve Staff Sgt. Briana Popp donned her drill sergeant hat during a graduation ceremony at Fort Jackson, S.C. March 8, 2017. Popp earned the titles of Iron Female and Distinguished Honor Graduate and will be a drill sergeant with the 98th Training Division (Initial Entry Training). Popp was the first female Distinguished Honor Graduate in the past six cycles and happened to graduate in March, which is Women's History Month. Coincidentally, Popp's graduation day was International Women's Day as well. Popp is married to active duty drill sergeant, Staff Sgt. Army Reserve breaks new ground on JBMDL Army Reserve Center

The U.S. Army Reserve marked another milestone in helping its Soldiers remain a trained and ready part of the Total Force by breaking ground March 18 on a new Army Reserve Center at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey.
