ARMEDCOM unit prepared to deliver vital medical capabilities

Capt. Dennis Consolver and Sgt. 1st Class John Cunningham, U.S. Army Reserve Soldiers with Army Reserve Medical Command’s 7227th Medical Support Unit, discuss a religious scenario with observer coach/trainers Lt. Col. Jose Nunez and Capt. Cecil Edwards.  The exercise inject will be used to test the 7227th commander’s response to his Soldier’s religious needs.  The scenarios placed on Soldiers within the 7227th are training and validation injects in preparation for the unit’s upcoming mobilization in support of Landstuhl Regional Medical Center’s Deployed Warrior Medical Management Center.  Soldiers assigned to the 7227th MSU, out of Columbia, Missouri, have been working alongside 1st Army Division West’s observer coach/trainers with 4th Battalion (Medical), 393rd Infantry Regiment in North Fort Hood for three weeks in preparation for their upcoming mission.

Military equipment helping injured Soldiers get back into the fight

Salvage diver Sgt. Christopher Miller with the 511th Engineer Dive Detachment with the assistance of Commander Cpt. William Guinther, 511th EDD, gives an intravenous injection to salvage diver Spc. John Egizii, from the 511th EDD out of Fort Eustis, Va., while inside of a Standard Navy Double Lock Recompression Chamber System, Kuwait Naval Base, Kuwait, Feb. 13, 2017. The training is to give 511th soldiers hands on training in equipment operation, Soldier advancement and to help a Soldier with an injury sustained during a previous training exercise.
