Army Reserve leader joins NFL team to honor Vietnam Veterans

Maj. Gen. Troy D. Kok, commanding general of the U.S. Army Reserve’s 99th Regional Support Command headquartered at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey, gets ready to throw a football to New York Jets rookie linebacker Jordan Jenkins during a Dec. 4 event sponsored by the Jets. Kok was a guest speaker at the event, which honored roughly 100 Vietnam Veterans.

Veterans that reside at La Casa del Veterano (House of Veterans) received a generous donation of bicycles from the Amgen Veterans Employee Network (AVEN) on November 30.

Col. Barra assumes command of the 304th SBDE

Brig. Gen. David Elwell, 311th Expeditionary Sustainment Command commanding general, traveled to the Fort Irwin National Training Center November 19, for a change of command ceremony, representing the higher command. He passed the colors to Col. Chris Barra, who is the incoming 304th Sustainment Brigade commander, during a joint Field Training Exercise for combat readiness. Combat readiness remains a high priority for U.S. Army Reserve unit throughout the Army.
