April 14, 2017 - Despite the cold rain and muddy conditions, 22 Army Reserve Soldiers from the 80th Training Command and 99th Regional Support Command pushed themselves through the combined commands’ annual Best Warrior Competition here, April 3-5, 2017. The winners were announced at the BWC awards ceremony on April 6, 2017.
March 30, 2017 - 80th Training Command Soldiers seized the opportunity to engage in friendly rivalry with high school Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps students at the 17th Annual Raider Challenge hosted by Manchester High School JROTC here on March 11, 2017. The Soldiers jumped on the chance to help shape the future leaders interested in joining the capable, lethal and combat ready force known as the Army Reserve.
February 15, 2017 - With more than 32 years of service to his country, Brig. Gen. Thomas P. Evans, deputy commanding general for the 80th Training Command, hung up his military hat at his retirement ceremony at the Defense Supply Center in Richmond, Virginia, Feb. 11, 2017.
January 30, 2017 - Congratulations to the first graduating class of the newly formed 80th Training Command Quality Assurance Officer course here. Soldiers from the command’s three one-star divisions, the 800th Logistics Support Brigade and their subordinate units completed the QAO course on Jan. 26, 2017, making them the first qualified QAOs for their units.
January 3, 2017 - The 3rd Battalion 319th Regiment gathered for the last time with current service members, retired veterans of the unit, friends and family members as they cased the battalion colors during a deactivation ceremony held here at the Lt. Col. Mark Phelan Reserve Center on Dec. 17, 2016. This ceremony marks the end of 99 years of service to the nation.
