February 15, 2017 - With more than 32 years of service to his country, Brig. Gen. Thomas P. Evans, deputy commanding general for the 80th Training Command, hung up his military hat at his retirement ceremony at the Defense Supply Center in Richmond, Virginia, Feb. 11, 2017.
January 30, 2017 - Congratulations to the first graduating class of the newly formed 80th Training Command Quality Assurance Officer course here. Soldiers from the command’s three one-star divisions, the 800th Logistics Support Brigade and their subordinate units completed the QAO course on Jan. 26, 2017, making them the first qualified QAOs for their units.
January 3, 2017 - The 3rd Battalion 319th Regiment gathered for the last time with current service members, retired veterans of the unit, friends and family members as they cased the battalion colors during a deactivation ceremony held here at the Lt. Col. Mark Phelan Reserve Center on Dec. 17, 2016. This ceremony marks the end of 99 years of service to the nation.
December 15, 2016 - A military unit can become a Soldier’s second home, a second family. The camaraderie and esprit de corps is almost as important as conducting the unit’s mission, so when a unit deactivates Soldiers can find it to be bittersweet.
December 13, 2016 - The 1st Battalion of the 413th Regiment cased its colors in a deactivation ceremony held here on Dec. 9, 2016. The ceremony marks the end of nearly a century of dedicated service to the United States Army Reserve.
