100th Training Division Featured Stories
April 9, 2018 - The Army relies on electricians to provide the power necessary to do their jobs, such as lighting Army facilities, running power tools and operating computers. To meet this need, instructors from the 80th Training Command and 102nd Training Division, Maneuver Support, teach the 12R Interior Electrician course to Army Reserve, National Guard, and Regular Army Soldiers at The Army School System Training Center Dix, New Jersey, throughout the year, rain or shine.
March 7, 2018 - Silver tiaras, blue wigs, bouncy hats, and Army olive green uniforms filled the classrooms at Hopkins Elementary School here in celebration of Dr. Seuss’ 114th birthday on March 2, 2018. Eighteen Army Reserve Soldiers from the 80th Training Command took time to read to the school children to celebrate Seuss’ birthday.
March 5, 2018 - For Command Sgt. Maj. Gregory Betty, an Army Reserve Senior Advisor to 1st Brigade Commander and a 12-year New York City Transit Authority Superintendent, assigned to the 1st Brigade, 94th Training Division-Force Sustainment, he found comfort in running which he initially used as a sleep aid and a means to remain focused on the mission at hand while in a deployed environment. Betty’s running regiment and distance ran would continue to flourish in years to come.
February 14, 2018 - Maj. Gen. Bruce Hackett, commanding general of the 80th Training Command (TASS), and Brig. Gen. Hector Lopez, the commanding general of the 94th Training Division, travelled to Puerto Rico recently to celebrate the relocation and reopening of the 94th's 5th Battalion's new schoolhouse at Fort Buchanan after Hurricane Maria demolished the battalion's old training facility. The celebration was somewhat bittersweet, though, as Hackett and Lopez were also on the island to assist with the planned transition and approved reassignment of all units stationed in Puerto Rico to the operational control of the 1st Mission Support Command.
February 8, 2018 - If there’s one thing that is always constant, it’s change. The 80th Training Command celebrated change as they said farewell to Command Sgt. Maj. Jeffrey Darlington and welcome to Command Sgt. Maj. Dennis Thomas at the command's change of responsibility ceremony held at the Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia, during the 80th TC Commander's Readiness Workshop Feb. 8, 2018.
