Fort McCoy, Army Reserve launches Operation Enabling Readiness pilot program
U.S. Army Reserve Sgt. 1st Class Sheila Stennis, medical noncommissioned officer-in-charge of 83rd USAR Readiness Training Center, Fort McCoy, Wis., facilitates in vision screening for a Soldier during Operation Enabling Readiness (OER) in Fort McCoy, Wis., Aug. 17, 2023. Held on Aug. 16-25, 2023, the OER pilot program was designed to enhance medical readiness in conjunction with large-scale training exercises such as Combat Support Training Exercise (CSTX). It is a joint synchronization of efforts between 88th RD, Army Reserve Medical Command, Blanchfield Army Community Hospital and Fort McCoy Directorate of Plans, Training, Mobilization and Security - Mobilization Branch.
