Pain, perseverance and the long road to recovery
First Lt. Gennifer Thompson, an Army Reserve Soldier with the 90th Sustainment Brigade, 4th Sustainment Command (Expeditionary) does push-ups during a lunch break workout on January 17, 201,9, at Colorado Springs, Colorado. Thompson suffered a serious spinal injury in October 2014 that requires her to maintain a rigorous fitness routine. Thompson’s dedication to fitness and recovery demonstrates that America’s Army Reserve units are trained to deploy bringing capable, combat-ready, and lethal firepower in support of the Army and our joint partners anywhere in the world.
