Search and Extraction at Guardian Response 17
Army Reserve units hit the ground running at Muscatatuck Urban Training Center, Indiana, as the second phase of Guardian Response 17 kicked off on Saturday, May 06, 2017. Soldiers from the 468th Fire Fighting Detachment suited up and surveyed the area before searching and extracting casualties of the simulated nuclear attack. Nearly 5,000 Soldiers and Airmen from across the country are participating in Guardian Response 17, a multi-component training exercise to validate the military's ability to support Civil Authorities in the event of a Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) catastrophe.
