APFT run
U.S. Army Reserve Sgt. 1st Class Brent Powell, a public affairs noncommissioned officer for the 335th Signal Command (Theater) from Pocahontas, Ark., runs two miles to pass the Army Physical Fitness Test at Woodward Academy in East Point, Ga., May 6, 2017. The APFT is designed to test the muscular strength, endurance, and cardiovascular respiratory fitness of soldiers in the Army. Soldiers are scored based on their performance in three events consisting of the push-up, sit-up, and a two-mile run, ranging from 0 to 100 points in each event.
