Civil Affairs Reserve Soldiers attend FGM abandonment conference
Tadjoura, Djibouti – Capt. Hallie Carter, operations officer and civil affairs female initiative team member with the 418th Civil Affairs Battalion, and Maj. Andres Gil, commander of C/Co 411th Civil Affairs Battalion discuss future human capacity building projects with Ambassador Adam Kulach, a head of delegation with the European Union, during a eradication of female genital mutilation conference here on October 26, 2016. Civil Affairs Soldiers met with local leaders and foreign dignitaries in order to discuss future involvement with FGM workshops in order to enhance U.S.-Djiboutian relations.
