Army Reserve celebrates 108th birthday during JBMDL ceremony
Maj. Gen. Margaret W. Boor, commanding general of the U.S. Army Reserve’s 99th Regional Support Command, left, receives a congressional proclamation from Bob Smyth, former Army Reserve Soldier and field representative for U.S. Congressman Tom MacArthur (NJ-3), during the Army Reserve 108th birthday celebration April 22 on Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey. “The Army Reserve has protected us in times of peace and conflict, and has sent brave Soldiers to both World Wars, Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan,” said Smyth as he read the proclamation.
