On Tuesday, April 23, the U.S. Army Reserve will celebrate its 105th anniversary. Created in 1908 as the Medical Reserve Corps, today’s Army Reserve is a key complimentary operational force that supports the entire United States. The Army Reserve consists of more than 200,000 “citizen-soldiers”, and approximately 11,900 of those soldiers are currently deployed around the world, providing life-saving and life-sustaining capabilities for Joint Force operations.
