FORT MCCOY, Wis. - Bruce Abbott, honored guest and Soldier of the 88th Blue Devil Infantry Division during World War II and oldest Soldier of the 88th and Spc. Maxwell Rooney, youngest Soldier of the 88th, conduct the cake cutting ceremony along with Maj. Gen. Patrick Reinert (left), 88th Regional Support Command commanding general along with Command Sgt. Maj. Earl Rocca (right), following a ceremony at the 88th RSC Headquarters at Fort McCoy, Wis., on August 19, in honor of the beginning of the 88th Division in 1917.
