80th Training Command (TASS) Instructor of the Year credits resilience for achievement

Sgt. 1st Class Raymundo Soto, an All Source Intelligence Analyst senior instructor assigned to 6th Military Intelligence Battalion/95th Regiment, 1st Brigade, 100th Training Division, competes in the 80th Training Command (TASS) Instructor of Year Competition at Fort Knox, Ky., Oct. 21, 2014. Soto beat out seven other competitors from across the 80th TC to win the event. The aim of the competition is to identify and recognize the best instructors from across the 80th TC. “No matter if it’s during a briefing or on deployment, we need to always give it our all; we owe it to our Soldiers to lead from the front,” said Soto, who taught his class on resilience. “I think it takes the right instructor to give the right briefing, and since I really believe in resilience, I believed that I would do well in this competition,” added Soto, the 6th MI BN Master Resiliency trainer.

Family of 92nd Infantry 'Buffalo' Division soldier is presented the Silver Star

Army Reserve soldiers from the Chicago land area conduct a flag folding ceremony for the family of Army Sgt. Lawrence V. Blanchet, WWII Veteran, who was killed in action on the Italian front while serving with the 92nd Infantry “Buffalo” Division in 1945. During the ceremony the Blanchet family received Blanchet’s Silver Star in a formal presentation as well as a U.S. flag.
